Special powdered green tea made of pure Asahi tea cultivar without blending
As Usucha:
STEP 1) Put 2g (0.4 US tsp, 1 teaspoon or 2 chashaku scoop) matcha powder into a suitable tea bowl.
STEP 2) Pour 70 ml (2.4 fl oz) 80℃ (176°F) water over the matcha powder.
STEP 3) Whisk with a chasen (tea whisk) until foamy.
As Koicha:
STEP 1) Put 4g (0.8 US tsp, 2 teaspoon or 4 chashaku scoop) matcha powder into a suitable tea bowl.
STEP 2) Pour 30 ml (1 fl oz) 80℃ (176°F) water over the matcha powder.
STEP 3) Gently knead with a chasen (tea whisk) until all lumps are gone.
❖ Before Step 1, warm up the tea bowl with hot water, then dry it with a cloth to create the perfect temperature so make the most delicious matcha with a fresh scent while preparing. (Optional)
❖ To prevent clotting of the matcha powder, sift it through a fine strainer before use. (Strongly recommended)
❖ After the matcha is done, drink it immediately, because as it cools down it gets more and more bitter. (Recommended)
❖ Freshness is the most important thing for the enjoyment of Matcha. It is best to use up the tea within one month of opening. (Strongly recommended)

I've tried a LOT of matcha and this is a nice matcha. I drink it as Usucha primarily. I like my matcha strong so I add about three scoops to 50-60 ml of 70 C water. It foams up really well. The powder is very light and airy and a very nice deep green. The aroma of the dry powder is rather light. The finished usucha is medium bodied with just a slight bitterness that I find pleasant. It's quite smooth and mellow at the same time. I like it but it's not my all time favorite. Very well made matcha overall. In case you're curious, the matcha bowl was purchased at Sazen: Hira Chawan Oribe Matsumoto Tetsuzan and it is a pleasure to drink from.

I just received my order about 15 minutes ago and prepared in-between koicha and usucha style for my favorite preperation. 160 degree spring water.
It is good -- very good.
BUT it is not what I look for in matcha. I found this varietal to be mild, light, smooth and slightly creamy. It takes a few moments for the flavors to develop on the tongue after swallowing -- faint floral flavors emerge in the background. Very unique and light. It seems to lack the more savory and umami-laden richness of the Narino.
The color is a nice bright green, although I was hoping for a more rich and intoxicating aroma, and a stronger flavor -- that is what I like. All things considered -- if one like lighter matcha -- perhaps someone new to matcha -- this is a good one.

At first the taste is soft, mellow and creamy, then slowly develops into a full-bodied, rich flavor. Very delicious!

This matcha had such a great aroma when I opened the bag in the tin. The froth when making usucha is a much lighter green than any matcha I have had before. It has complex flavors when as thicker tea that linger on the tongue. Tea time!

This is my favorite matcha so far, even better than the more expensive ones. I can't describe it better than Sazen: "thrillingly rich aroma and full-bodied, unique flavours". I would emphasize: "thrilling", rather mind-blowing.
