Cui Feng High Mountain tea brought to us by Naoya Urayama, a Taiwanese tea specialist.
Cui Feng is often regarded as Lishan, but it is actually located between Lishan and Shan Lin Xi. It is about 2 hours from Lishan by car. The hight is lower than Lishan, it is less than 2000 m from sea level. Unlike other Cui Feng teas, the tea leaves used in this one are picked from young, healthy tea plants that have been only harvested for 4 years. It is important to keep the quality high with the strong, young plants since the weather conditions have not been the most ideal recently.

TASTING NOTES
A surprisingly sweet, pleasantly floral tea that unravels in your mouth, gently slipping down your throat. A really mellow, silky, pampering tea that is a perfect choice for everyone. It’s milky and creamy on the finish. Ideally prepared after a brief rinse, starting with 95-degree Celsius water and 30-second infusions, gradually increasing the time of re-steeping to 1 minute. The tea retains its light, well-rounded flavors throughout the succession of infusions without any harsh, astringent notes.

STEP 1) Put the tea leaves into the pot. Pour hot water over it for a few seconds, then pour it into the cups, then pour it all out. (This opens the leaves up while also pre-heats the tea utensils.)
STEP 2) Pour water over the leaves.
STEP 3) Steam it for required time.
STEP 4) Pour the tea into a pitcher, then into the cups to serve.
❖ For the second infusion, steep it for about half the time of the first infusion. For every other infusion after that increase the steeping time (from the time of the first infusion).
❖ Make sure to open the lid of the teapot between infusions, to prevent the leaves from steaming too much.
Taste of tea is a matter of preference, so try infusing tea in several ways and find your
favorite way to infuse.

This is a wonderfully complex tea, a lovely combination of honey, orchids and a faint, very faint hint of cinnamon. You can get a lot of infusions with this one, and the more you flush it, the sweeter it becomes. And you know what? Let the tea cool down a little, that's when it will truly surprise you.

The points to be received for a product can be found on the product page, and it grows when choosing bigger quantities.
When can I get points?
The registration and activation of the received points happens after the purchase.
By choosing the online payment method, it occurs after the successful transaction immediately, while when choosing the bank transfer or payment on delivery options, the activation occurs after the money has arrived to our bank account.
How can I use the points?
Points can be used at a later purchase to reduce the sum to be paid.
Registered and logged in users can redeem their points on the ‘Billing and shipping information’ page while confirming their purchase. Points can be redeemed for the net sum (Subtotal) of the basket, but they cannot be used for shipping costs or other additional costs.
There are no new points collected for the value of redeemed points.
Points cannot be exchanged to cash.
How long are points valid?
The received points are valid for one year. After each purchase or receiving points the expiry date is extended and is counted from the date of the last purchase.
Expired points cannot be revalidated, our system deletes them automatically.
How can I check my points?
After logging in, you can find your current point balance and the history of your points in the MySazen menu.
How can I get double points?
Every month we have five different products on our site that score double points. These products change on the first day of every month (12:00AM JST).
